From Publishers Weekly
Although the promise of Varley's early work has petered out, he retains a remarkable storyteller's voice that supersedes his lack of good stories to tell. The reader is thus drawn into these tales examining the way technology complicates human relationships. From the computer and space flight to future prosthetics, the author asserts, greater options lead both to increased possibilities and to problems. While a few of the selections are affecting, the heavy streak of sentimentality leaves the reader feeling manipulated. Best of the lot are "The Pusher," about one solution to the loneliness of the space traveler; "Tango Charlie and Foxtrot Romeo," featuring a little girl alone on a satellite who has adapted to life with only a computer and a mob of dogs as companions; and the award-winning romantic whodunit "Press Enter."stet

Sip Carefully
By Patrick Shepherd
Like most short story collections, this is something of a mixed bag. But as it contains some examples of Varley at his best, and his best is at the top of the field, it is an important collection for any serious fan of his, and good reading for everyone.

"The Pusher" is a very quiet story that will bring to the fore some unconscious assumptions most people have when hearing about an adult male interacting with an pre-adolescent female. In this case, those assumptions are exploded by the story's middle, and there is a serious investigation of just what types of emotional stress a near-light speed traveler would be subjected to, and what he can do about it. A unique look at a problem that just might be somewhere in humanity's future.

The title story, "Blue Champagne", didn't do very much for me, though it shows a remarkable imagination in its construction of a very unique champagne 'glass' and a very different approach to help for nerve damage that the medical profession is only now beginning to attempt. But it should be read before the next story "Tango Charlie and Foxtrot Romeo" both for some common background elements and a shared character. "Tango" is the best story here, an achingly emotional story about a girl raised in isolation by a computer on a space station that had been decimated by a plague so virulent that it was projected to wipe out all human life if it ever escaped from the station. Now the station's orbit is deteriorating and it must be destroyed, and the girl can't be rescued. Finely written, with some twists that are not expectable, and not overplayed.

"Press Enter " is the Hugo and Nebula Award winning story that will make all the believers in world-wide conspiracies, mystery fans, and the computer nerds very happy. This is a more plot driven story than some of the others here, but with more than enough character to engage your heart as well as your mind.

The only truly insignificant story here is "The Manhattan Phone Book (Abridged)", which is a compilation of very short vignettes of representative people from that book, who no longer exist. Happily it's a really short story. The rest of the stories are what I call average; quite readable and enjoyable, but not ones that will make you sit up and take notice or remember for very long.
There is something of a theme that runs through many of the stories here, that of the alienated, isolated individual trying to cope with the world, which gives these stories a feeling of darkness, a somberness tempered by Varley's resolutions to his character's problems.
A good introduction to Varley for those who haven't read any of his other work, with enough excellent stories to make you want to come back for more, and will repay your time spent reading with an expanded view of both the world and the human condition.

All his short stories are must-reads; novels are optional
By A Customer
I've read almost all John Varley's books and give my highest recommendation to ALL his collections of short stories: this one, Tango Charlie, Barbie Murders, etc. I loved the world he created and the way he continued it throughout all his short story collections. Read together, they present such regular features as symbs, an alien lifeforce that enters its human, after which the two coexist symbiotically in a most tender and intimate manner; their thus-transformed biochemistry is how both can work around Saturn's moons, where there's a continuing subplot of eco-monkey-wrenchers who are painting the rocks. Characters in the culture change their sex, not without soul searching, and experience their surroundings and relationships in enlightening new ways, and sometimes change back. I read everything I could get my hands on in one stream, and recommend your doing the same with all his short stories. They are wonderful read collectively. A couple of stand outs: Blue Champagne, about a gold cybernetic prostetis body for a paraplegic; Press Enter, about a unrelentingly evil computer; Tango Charlie, about a child who for years, with her pets, is the sole survivor on a space ship. (And it's been a decade since I read them). Enjoy!
Conversely, I found his trilogy to be mediocre, tolerable, okay sci fi fare. Fun if you need something to read.
Steel Beach gave me an ache. Without knowing a thing about the author's personal life, my immediate hit on it was that he's had too much psychotherapy, or something. I missed the brilliant voice of the short stories and could sense it there throughout Steel Beach, but it was as if the creative metaphors had been analyzed too much, taking most of the life out of them, or the talking cure was still going on but now in writing. The remaining glimmers and my respect for his past work kept me reading.
Still and all, a great sci fi writer. Don't miss the short stories, one more time!

The Event (Studies in Continental Thought), by Martin Heidegger

Martin Heidegger’s The Event offers his most substantial self-critique of his Contributions to Philosophy: Of the Event and articulates what he means by the event itself. Richard Rojcewicz’s elegant translation offers the English-speaking reader intimate contact with one of the most basic Heideggerian concepts. This book lays out how the event is to be understood and ties it closely to looking, showing, self-manifestation, and the self-unveiling of the gods. The Event (Complete Works, volume 71) is part of a series of Heidegger's private writings in response to Contributions.

Review

"The Event takes the reader who is willing to follow the intricacies of Heidegger's text, into dark and impenetrable dimensions of thought and experience at the limits of language and intelligibility." ―Review of Metaphysics

"Heidegger is struggling to articulate his thinking, and many sections in this work are illuminating to some of his most difficult discussions in the Contributions and his thinking about Greek metaphysics, language, and poetry and philosophy." ―Phillip Braunstein, Loyola Marymount University

"What is most remarkable about Richard Rojcewicz’s translation is its timeliness.... As a translation, the volume is better than fine and it has no doubt benefitted from Rojcewicz and Vallega-Neu’s translation of Beiträge zur Philosophie (Vom Ereignis)." ―Continental Philosophy Review

About the Author

Richard Rojcewicz is Scholar-in-Residence in the Philosophy Department at Duquesne University. He is author of The Gods and Technology: A Reading of Heidegger and translator of several volumes of Heidegger's Complete Works, including Basic Concepts of Ancient Philosophy (IUP, 2008) and (with Daniela Vallega-Neu) Contributions to Philosophy: Of the Event (IUP, 2012).

An extremely different way of translating Heidegger's Ereignis period
By lenazifrog
This reads much differently than Emad and Maly's translations of 'Contributions' and 'Mindfulness', the two books directly preceding this one.

I'd say that this book is at once more cryptic and less rigorous than the two other big books. 'Mindfulness' is very much like 'Contributions', but it is smarter and is essentially a comprehensive review of 'Contributions'. This book behaves as if it wants to transcend both of them. It certainly does this linguistically. This guy's translation is not an attempt to directly translate the German words themselves and even though the method employed is different, I detected a further radicalization of thinking. It is excrutiatingly difficult to convey what exactly 'radicalization' means for Heidegger in the early 40's.

Frankly, I learned through Emad and Maly and so I approve of their translations. Another translation of 'Contributions' is inevitable, there will probably be more. One of the most striking differences in the two current translational methods for this period in Heidegger's life are Emad/Maly's decision to render Abgrund as 'Ab-ground' and Rojcewicz's choice of 'Abyss'. Abyss is thematically truer but for those uninitiated 'Abyss' can acquire all sorts of misunderstandings. Heidegger's 'abyss' is not an abyss in any traditional religious sense; it is more abyssal still. This choice also means Rojcewicz has abandoned the peculiar etymological relationship between core words which Heidegger empoyed at this time, a relationshiop that Maly/Emad try to follow with the English language to a perplexing degree but which created incisive paragraphs.

I absolutely don't recommend spending money on this until you've properly understood 'Contributions' and 'Mindfulness'. That can take well over a year. A student really has begin studying Martin Heidegger's teachings from at least 'Being and Time' to understand anything. Translationally, this book is more 'thematic' than the previous ones, in that it comments upon ideas that have been established long before.

Difficult
By Reece Thomas Harris
Ad astra per aspera. . . or ta kala kalapa-- "beautiful things are difficult." You will have to work very hard to get something from this book and it does require some previous years of asking the question "what does it mean to be." In the end, if you are unrelenting in your practice, which is a kind of meditative practice, the book may open realms for you that might be decisive for the kind of life you live.

really not mystical gobbledygook
By Amazon Customer
Very deep, very hard and yet profoundly valuable. I'd recommend you warm up by studying "Being and Time", or at least "The History of the Concept of Time". If not, you probably won't have a clue about what he's actually talking about, and it will seem like so much inaccessible mystical gobbledygook.

An Emperor Among Us: The Eccentric Life and Benevolent Reign of Norton I, Emperor of the United States, as Told

As cigar smoke hangs heavy in Mark Twain’s sitting room, the members of the Monday Evening Club eagerly await his presentation, which they think will be the reading of his paper The Decay of the Art of Lying. Instead, Twain changes his mind and enthralls his audience with the true tale of one man’s unconventional and fascinating journey through life.

It is 1849 when a thirty-one-year-old Jewish South African immigrant sails into San Francisco Bay with forty thousand dollars in his pocket, coming to join the Gold Rush but eventually finding his fortune in real estate and commerce. Just a few short years after Joshua Norton finally realizes success, however, he fails beyond his darkest nightmares. Now delusional and nearly penniless, he proclaims himself the Emperor of the United States as he aimlessly wanders the streets of San Francisco. As Emperor Norton unintentionally becomes a vital part of the young city, the people afford him the respect of a true monarch as he issues proclamations that, under his fictional rule, bring a much-needed renaissance of civility to society.

An Emperor Among Us tells the intriguing tale of a remarkable eccentric who wove a unique, gentle, and civilized thread into the rough and tumble fabric of early San Francisco.

Asta's Book, by Ruth Rendell

An “obsessively readable” mystery from the New York Times–bestselling author of Dark Corners about a century-old diary that holds clues to a murder (The Sunday Telegraph).

Asta Westerby is lonely. In 1905, shortly after coming to East London from Denmark with her husband and their two little boys, she feels like a stranger in a strange land. And it doesn’t help that her husband is constantly away on business. Fortunately, she finds solace in her diary—and she continues to do so until 1967.

Decades later, her granddaughter, Ann, finds the journal, and it becomes a literary sensation, offering an intimate view of Edwardian life. But it also appears to hold the key to an unsolved murder and the disappearance of a child.

A modern masterpiece by the Edgar Award–winning author of the Inspector Wexford Mysteries, and an excellent choice for readers of P. D. James, Ian Rankin, or Scott Turow, Asta’s Book is at once a crime story, a historical novel, and a psychological portrait told through the diary itself and through Ann, who is bent on unlocking the journal’s excised mystery.

Review

“For a good, absorbing, well-told story, you could hardly better the unveiling of Asta’s secret.”—The Sunday Times “A double detective story . . . obsessively readable.”—The Sunday Telegraph

About the Author

Edgar Award–winning author Ruth Rendell (b. 1930) has written more than seventy books that have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. A fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (London), she is the recipient of the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Crime Writers’ Association. Rendell’s award-winning novels include A Demon in My View (1976), A Dark-Adapted Eye (1987), and King Solomon’s Carpet (1991). Her popular crime stories featuring Chief Inspector Reginald Wexford were adapted into a long-running British television series (1987–2000) starring George Baker.

From AudioFile
Written by Ruth Rendell under the pen name of Barbara Vine, the diary of a lonely Danish immigrant at the turn of the century became a bestseller in England. Asta offers keen interest in life, zest for storytelling and acerbic views of humanity, as well as a mystery for subsequent generations to unravel. Walter's considerable acting skills keep the long process moving. As most of the central figures are female, her very feminine voice presents few gender problems. She occasionally shows strain with dialects, but this is mitigated by her understanding of inner motivations. Indeed, it proves to be the personal quirks of the characters that both create and solve the mystery as denouement follows denouement to a surprising conclusion. S.B.S. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine

Hard to follow
By Linda Cox
I found this book very hard to follow. While the main character's voice was distinctive, it was often difficult to keep track of who was narrating when she wasn't. Too much unclear skipping around from one time period to another. The author did a good job of developing characters, but could have done more to make their voices distinct from each other. I found it very frustrating that all through the book no detail was too small to belabor, but the way the loose ends were tied up was unconvincing. The organization of the book was poor in my opinion.

Some decent shorts
By Daryl C
Tor picked out a nice selection of short stories for this anthology. And the price was certainly right. Well worth a read, especially as a freebie.

EDIT: Anyone reading these reviews ought to note the date of the review. This book was only published on 1/1/2013. Any review with a date prior to that is quite possibly reviewing the 2011 version. There are no Nazis (I hate those guys!) in the 2013 edition, but Doc Holliday plays a starring role.

The usual reaction for short stories - some good, some not so
By Tghu Verd
For zero dollars down, this baker's dozen of science fiction/fantasy stories is good value.

Of course, as with any anthology, you are unlikely to be universally wowed and so it was, for me, with "Some of the Best from Tor.com: 2012 Edition: A Tor.Com Original".

"Dormanna", the opening short by Gene Wolfe, for example, was well written - as Wolfe stories generally are - but it failed to light my fire. Couldn't really see the point to it, to be honest. But it was followed up by Rachel Swirsky's "Portrait of Lisane da Patagnia" with its novel spin on magical powers and that I did enjoy. And Michael Swanwick's "The Mongolian Wizard" was fun, with another take on magic setting up a parable for our troubled world.

And so it went.

"The Ghosts of Christmas" by Paul Cornell was troubling on a number of levels. The science of it did not make a lot of sense - time travel but only to some few minutes on exactly the same day each year past or future? And then there was the bleakness of the situation and character, with a trite sense of redemption at the end. It felt clumsy overall and did not appeal to my high-tech tastes.

Rick Berry's "The Finite Canvas" was more to my taste, set on a future Earth ravaged by global warming and economic poverty after a diaspora to space. The interplay between a doctor trying to get by and a patient who wants pain and punishment was engrossing.

Kathryn Cramer's "Am I Free to Go?" was also high-tech, but in a different direction as a low-key, personal rebellion against the Privatised State plays out in the characters head. There are some challenging ideas here about Big Brother vs. Personal Liberty and Cramer makes it a thoughtful journey without resorting to diatribe.

I also enjoyed Pat Murphy's "About Fairies", which is soulful and intimate. Set in San Francisco, it is somewhat fantastical, but told in such a matter of fact way that Jennifer, Murphy's protagonist, makes it likely that fairies do exist. I especially liked the observation that "there are things that only cats can see". Who knows, maybe when they give their "full attention to a patch of empty air for hours at a time" they really are protecting us from the little people?

Adam-Troy Castro writes on the nature of evil in "Our Human". Outcast bounty hunters on a vile planet hunt a reprehensible Human wanted across the known Universe, and the end to their journey is both fitting and thought provoking.

Then we come to Elizabeth Bear's "Faster Gun". It's another time travel story, which I initially felt was set in our past but thinking it through it must be a parallel Earth - close, but not quite ours. Or not and she's just not fussed with the implications of what goes on? It did not detract from my enjoying it, but I felt it missed on the elements that make this type of confrontational story both tense and rewarding, which has the unassuming/reluctant hero stepping forth to smite the sinful.

Really, if you like fantasy or sci-fi short stories, load this up on your Kindle because none of the shorts here are terrible, it's just that they are not outstanding examples of their genre. But for zero dollars down, love them or loath them, you can't really lose!

Wonderful Collection
By Jennifer H.
I had already read a few of these via Tor.com, however I had missed a few. They are wonderful little snippets into a variety of sub-genres that all fall under the heading of "scifi/fantasy" and give the reader glimpses into the stories that these authors share.

All in all, I highly recommend this collection.

From Publishers Weekly
Cannell's second mystery boasts the effects that made her The Thin Woman a delicious debut. Brimful of surprises, the story related by Tessa Fields gives off whiffs of Restoration comedies, except for the sobering moment when a murder abruptly halts the fun. Until then, the reader is delighted to let the author lead on "down the garden path," where Tessa thinks she's leading her hostesses, elderly Primrose and Hyacinth Tramwell. In collusion with her beloved, Harry Harkness, Tessa pretends amnesia in hopes that the sisters will let her rest in the Cloisters, the Tramwell estate since the days of Henry VIII. Tessa believes the mansion holds the secret of her birth, possibly as the illegitimate infant of an absent Tramwell relation. The young woman's snooping is complicated by her hostesses' butler (named Butler) and housemaid Chantal, an intellectual gypsy. At a neighbors' soiree, Hyacinth and Primrose reveal themselves as card sharks, bringing a good friend of Tessa's to the Cloisters to remonstrate with them. Tessa's suspicions of the sisters seem valid when someone strangles the man and she learns that they have been only pretending to believe in her masquerade. The killing, an unfortunate and unnecessary plot departure, is no real deterrent to enjoying an otherwise robust tale of intrigue and true love. December 26

Very entertaining and funny.

I've read this book a couple of times because I enjoy the story and the way it's written. I also like the Misses Tramwell. I know they have been in Ellie Haskel books and also in "God Save the Queen". I wish Dorothy Cannell would bring back the characters from "Down The Garden Path" in one book, and also the characters from "God Save The Queen" in another. They were interesting and very likeable.

Disappointing
By A Customer
I'm not sure what happened here. I actually wanted to rate this two stars and a half, but that's not possible, so I've decided to be generous. For the characters in this book were likable enough but the plot and story was slow and awkward, and frankly, I became very bored halfway through the book and had to put it down for a few days before I could finish it. The strange thing is that when I read Ms. Cannell's next book, a second Ellie Haskell mystery, it was so good, exactly the quality I had been expecting from Down The Garden Path. I think Ms. Cannell's Ellie Haskell books are her best and there her talent shows. But as for the others...quite frankly, God Save the Queen was even worse than this one in it's way.

I love this Dorothy Cannells humor. Her kooky but fun loving characters.
And then of course the mystery involved. What fun reading her books.

There and Back Again: J R R Tolkien and the Origins of The Hobbit, by Mark Atherton

‘Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.’ Addressed to Frodo as he prepared to travel from Lothlórien to Mordor to destroy the One Ring, the prophetic words of Galadriel in the film The Fellowship of the Ring are just as pertinent to J R R Tolkien’s own fiction. For decades, hobbits, elves, dwarves, dragons and the other fantastical creatures of Middle-earth have captured the imaginations of a fiercely loyal tribe of readers, all enhanced by the immense success of Peter Jackson’s films: first The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and now his new The Hobbit. But for all Tolkien’s global fame and the familiarity of modern culture with Gandalf, Bilbo, Frodo and Sam, the sources of the great mythmaker’s own mythmaking have been neglected. Mark Atherton here explores the chief influences on The Hobbit: Tolkien’s boyhood in the West Midlands; the landscapes and seascapes which shaped his

mythologies; his formative experiences in the First World War; his studies in Norse mythology and medieval English literature; his love of language and dialect, and proverb and saying; his literary friendships, especially with C S Lewis and the Oxford-based Inklings; and the relevance of his themes, especially ecological themes, to the present-day.

There and Back Again offers a unique guide to the varied inspirations behind Tolkien’s life and work, and sheds new light on how a legend is born. Essential reading for all those who love and admire the rich and complex topographies of Middle-earth, the book will also have great appeal to students of literature, history and myth. It is the first to show in depth from where Tolkien drew creativity, and how these myriad resources inspired him to craft the most

remarkable fantasy novels ever written, densely packed with fauna from another world.

Review

*When J R R Tolkien died in 1973, his friend and academic colleague C S Lewis praised his 'unique insight at once into the language of poetry and into the poetry of language'. Generations of readers have responded to the power, precision, and delicacy of J R R Tolkien's linguistic imagination. This absorbing new study of The Hobbit brings a philologist's eye to that work's creation, structure, and expression, positioning it within the broader development of Tolkien's professional thinking about philology and the evolving mythography of his creative writings. Mark Atherton, himself what Tolkien calls 'a scholar of gramarye', imaginatively shows how Tolkien's academic interests in philology, linguistic-aesthetic and in reconstructive philology spilled over into the crucible of his own mythography, and was catalysed by the alchemy of his own reading in myths and contemporary fairy stories by writers such as William Morris, Edward Thomas, Francis Thompson and Robert Graves. This book gives them new ways of appreciating the interplay between his narratives and the linguistic enchantment of their imaginative world. Atherton's insights bring to mind Tolkien's own comment: 'How those old words smite one out of the dark antiquity!' * – Vincent Gillespie, J R R Tolkien Professor of English Literature and Language, University of Oxford

‘Mark Atherton’s treatment of one of the most famous books of the twentieth century is timely and welcome. On the face of it, The Hobbit appears an engaging fantasy adventure for young readers; but, as it later transpired, Mr Bilbo Baggins' exploits *there and back again* were simply a prelude to the apocalyptic drama that was to unfold in The Lord the Rings. One reason for the enduring appeal of both of these works is that J R R Tolkien imbued his tales of a fictional realm with resonances of ancient themes and universal truths. In this detailed exploration, Mark Atherton provides the reader with a comprehensive understanding of the many origins, influences and inspirations – biographical, historical, geographical and literary – that, combined with a unique imagination, resulted in the crafting of a new mythology.’ – Brian Sibley, author of The Lord of the Rings: The Making of the Movie Trilogy and of Peter Jackson: A Film-maker’s Journey

*There and Back Again is essential reading for all Tolkien fans - and also for anyone interested more broadly in medievalism, or the ways in which later writers have responded to the culture of the Middle Ages. Mark Atherton is that ideal combination: a reader and critic deeply appreciative of Tolkien's literary artistry, his imaginative scope and his linguistic invention, who is also, like Tolkien himself, a distinguished scholar of medieval language and literature. In this highly readable and accessible study, Atherton brings his own scholarship to bear on Tolkien's sources for The Hobbit, and in the process illuminates the whole of Tolkien's remarkable oeuvre.* - Heather O'Donoghue, Vigfusson Rausing Reader in Ancient Icelandic Literature & Antiquities, University of Oxford

There and Back Again
By Carol Reed
This book isn't for the casual reader. It goes into extreme detail of the origins of words and ideas found in Tolkien's works, and compares these works to the works of others. Sheer stubbornness is all that kept me reading this. If you're interested in the origin of words and ideas, this book does a very thorough search into these things.

An Analysis of the Hobbit
By S. Cranow
This book offers probably the most in depth look at the writing of “The Hobbit “ and “Lord of the Rings” Instead of offering the reader another biography of Tolkien, the author goes way behind the scene and offers us a view of what really inspired Tolkien’s writing. Such influences would include literary influences, life time experiences and his interest in philology or the study of languages.

The first two parts of the book kept me glued but the third and final part had me reading on in pain. Way too scholarly at the end, something that perhaps only a linguistic major would appreciate.

To begin with “The Hobbit was first meant to be told a children’s tale. “Roverandon was a tale he came up with in order to comfort a child after losing a toy dog. He would grade papers at Leeds and in his boredom he would draw upon the paper and hence the idea of the Hobbit. The shire of Hobbit’s home was originally inspired by the village in which Tolkien grew up in Sarehol which is near Warwickshire. There are several literary influences for “The Hobbit” Kenneth Grahm’s “Wind in the Willow” provides an inspiration about a Ground hog who lives like Bilbo, in a hole in the ground. “Babbit” is another story of escape where in a man who works in a futuristic boring factory town escapes away with a faery princess and comes back changed. “ The Merry Land of the Snergs” features Hobbit like creatures who are sort of bungling and one of them must save two human being. Besides literatue Tolkien also drew from Norse Literature especially the idea of the ring, the dwarf list came from a work called Volupsa.

Bilbo is put in on chance adventure one which he did not ask for. The dangers takes to Rivendel where there are dragon and elves and sorts of danger. Yet Tolkien has created a world that us unique. It is a well ordered world that believes in faery like beings that could come into a story and change everything around. Tolkien offered forward a definition of a faery story. It was a story in which a man or woman would travel into the world of faery and interact. It was not the same as an animal fable or a travel story. Tolkien considered it a faery story yet it had elements of a travelogue and an animal story. Obviously Bilbo is traveling but in Tolkien’s mythos there are talking animals especially in the History of the Middle Earth Series. You have Tevildo, a talking cat,Huor a speaking hound who fights against Morgoth. Beorn who appears as a shape shifter appears in the Hobbit and he communicates with his animal servants. Beorn could be based on a Norse legend called Bothvi who was a bear warrior that struch up an uneasy alliance with a Norse Kings.

“Not green, great dragons” scolded Mabel Suffield “rather great, green dragons” a correction in grammar but never a challenge as to whether or not dragon existed. Tolkien had a great desire for dragons. Yet he did not want one in his neck of the woods. Tolkien had red and gold dragon in his works but never green ones. Tolkien oft times considerd himself a Hobbit and in the “The Hobbit” Bilbo had a similar longing for dwarves. Tolkien’s main inspiration for dragon came from Norse Mythology and The Red Fairy Book. Dragon were oft to mean green as they always horded their gold

The review can get rather exhaustive so I shall closeout and advise reading the book. I give 4 stars out of 5.
