About The Author

Dr John Ratcliffe. Graduate Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy.

John Ratcliffe began his lifelong study in alternative medicine in Melbourne, Australia in the 1980’s when he was in his early twenties and was one of the first westerners to be recognised in Australia as qualified to practise Chinese medicine. In 1993 he released his first title dealing with the glycemic index titled Sugar Science, it was rebranded a year later and became Low Carb Made Easy which became an instant best seller in both Australia and overseas. John Ratcliffe’s subsequent titles remained in print till today, a testament to the efficacy of the information presented in his books. He has become a recognised authority on the glycemic index and it’s use in weight loss, diabetes, cholesterol and infertility.

A gifted healer and teacher, John skilfully combines all Traditional Chinese Medicine with western medical science to bring about the changes necessary in the body that allows it to heal.

Low Carbs Made Easy makes sense!

I know a number of people who have followed this program and have lost HEAPS of weight! My sister lost 6 kgs in just over 3 weeks and she never feels hungry, heaps of energy and her skin looks fantastic. I've tried heaps of diet programs with no real success because I'm always hungry. I tried to buy a paperback copy of this book in Australia and couldn't find one. So I bought the ebook. I couldn't stop reading it, in fact I read most of it in one night. It just makes sense. Now for the results: I've been on it for one week and I've gone from 77 kg to 74.2 kg. Yahoo!!!!! The recipes are absolutely delicious and straight forward. The caesar salad is to die for! Seriously, if you want to lose weight and get healthier, buy this book. GI, insulin, carbs, protein - they have always done my head in previously. But now I understand. I'll never be overweight again. And I'll never starve myself again trying to lose fat! Thank you John Ratcliffe!

Maximum Ride graphic novel vol 2 will have your socks flying off. The main character, Max is a strong normal half bird and half human. She doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. Because of that, she gets other people and Max's family hurt. When Max and her family goes out for a fly, Fang has to act like he doesn't care about anything (but he really does).

Some of my characters are really hilarious and some are not.
Some of my characters that are funny are Gazzy or Gaz man. He is funny because he has a funny personality and likes to fart. Now
for the the characters that aren't funny. Fang and Ari. Fang is not Funny because he is not really active. Ari is not funny because he so serious and he doesn't think, he just does his actions. Ari is the main eraser after the flock.

Ok I really loved this book because one of my favorite part is when Max and the rest of the flock went to a salon and change their appearances. My favorite character is going to be Fang because he is so cool and the molecule of the group.

I really really and I mean Really like this book and I give it a 5/5 but it is really 4.5/5.If you don't like blood and gore and people hurting girls or other people in general will then this book is not for you. But if you can handle that, I recommend this book for you. I really liked enjoying the book series so far.

My son actually read this book.

My eight year old son hates reading. I've been trying to instill the love of reading in him, so I was looking for a book that would interest him. There are not Junie B. Jones type books out there for boys. But he loved this one! He actually sat down himself and read, then he came to me and said..."Mommie could you buy me more of these?" I was so happy I went and bought the whole series! Give this series a try! My son enjoys reading them.

Enjoyable But A Little Bit Predictable

This was a short little Christmas story in the Sparrow Falls series, so I didn't expect a completely developed novel. However, I felt you almost needed to be a reader of the series to understand some of the relationships of the characters in the story. Since this was the first time I read one of the Sparrow Falls stories, I had to really pay attention and do a bit of deducing on them. However, lovers of the series won't be disappointed in this brief visit to a charming town they love.

You'll like the cats even if they o only get a small part. The people - at least some of them- get an attitude adjustment at the Christmas dinner. The story told was nice. But...it was too short.

For me it didn't detract from the short story and I rather like the fact that we are kept guessing

Quick read as an interlude to the rest of the series. The ending was left open ended which some readers have complained about but I think the purpose was for the individual reader to use their imaginations a bit more . Quickly became my favorite easy reader!

A lot of Spanish readers have giant chunks of Spanish, followed by chunks of English translation; when done properly, the translations can help if you run into an expression that throws you with it's literal translation, but it can confuse you terribly if the author isn't terribly fluent in English...

This book is completely different from most, in that the chapters are one page each so you're progressing quickly, rather than slogging through full chapters, and so far, a fun story in fairly simple Spanish.

The simple phrasing and story allow me to mostly make it through the book on my own, and since I'm not looking up every other word, I'm able to better read aloud, take in more of the grammar, and enjoy the story uninterrupted by the vocabulary checking that I have to do in some other books. If there's any English translation, it has to be at the back of the book, because I haven't run into any so far.

For some reason my builtin Spanish dictionary doesn't work with this title. Beware of that if you expect to use the dictionary. But the content is fine. I can recommend it to the beginners.

Would Not Open On My Kindle

I ordered this twice and 2x I was not able to open it. I called tech support and they conceded that there is something wrong with it. They said they would contact the author. I'm not sure that was done or if he would be able to fix it.
