Ian and Francesca are a big part of When I'm With You, and a major part of their romance is told which will come to a culmination in Because We Belong. 
 
Please note that like Because You Are Mine, When I'm With You will be released in eight parts, each installment debuting weekly. 
 
I hope you enjoy watching Lucien and Elise's romance unfold, seeing Lucien's immense control tried by the irrepressible Elise, while the self-indulgent Elise is challenged sexually and emotionally by Lucien into fulfilling her full potential as a giving, caring and vibrant woman. In addition, the reader will get to see Ian and Francesca's love affair progress and face new challenges.

I am so loving this series. Ms. Kery has really out done herself with this one. The chapters are getting better as the story progress.

I enjoy how Lucien is so in tune with Elsie. Not only can he keep her satisfied, but he can also tell when she's upset and he's half way across the globe. What I can't stand is how he still wants Elsie's submission but refuses to trust her with his secrets.

"Convenient to keep me quiet that way?" she asked when he faded off. It felt like there was a handful of marbles in her throat. "You knew how much I care about you. ... You used my feelings for you against me to gain my compliance."

I love how he made things up to Elsie by coming home and surprising her with his romantic gesture. Lucien is full of surprises. I couldn't believe that for the past eight years he has been looking for his mother. Its both sad and sweet.

"It wasn't an easy topic for me to discuss. Then or now. Of course I wondered about the woman who bore me. What had made her give me up? What were the circumstances that she needed to? Did I have other family? Brothers? Sisters? Aunts? Uncles? Did I look like them? I wondered. Incessantly."

Now that Elise has made things clear to Lucien regarding what she wants, he is able to fully let go.

"I have been holding back, chaining myself. But tonight"--he glanced at her, his expression fierce--"I'll feast on you and I won't come away hungry, Elise. I will take you hard . . . maybe a little savagely."

Elise has to learn that if she wants Lucien to treat her like she can be trusted then she must be trustworthy. And Lucien has to learn that he has to take a leap of faith and put his trust in someone before he loses Elise and ends up alone forever.

Elise struggles with her identity. Because of her past and because Lucien hasn't seen her in a long time, he assumes she's the rebellious woman she used to be. Feeling like she has to constantly prove herself is frustrating for her. Lucien holds Elise's past against her a bit. He's not being very fair to her. It's obvious he cares about her, but he's still seemingly more interested in protecting himself. For her part, Elise is still acting out, although she is trying. The connection between Ian Noble and Lucien is finally partly revealed in When You Trust Me. This interesting storyline continues to grow.

This book represents an entirely different way of looking at owls: from the standpoint of those who want to keep and breed them in captivity. The author has written a number of other books on keeping and taming birds of prey. Her approach to studying owls is therefore a practical one. Beginning with two short chapters on owl taxonomy and biology, the author moves quickly to the meat of her work, the keeping of owls. She makes the point that the first question potential owl keepers should ask is, Why do I want one? She then covers all of the working aspects of owl keeping: housing, equipment, feeding, breeding, and training. The British bias to the book is its only weakness, lessening the usefulness of the appendixes, not to mention the problem of the differences between wildlife laws in the U.K. and the U.S. However, the author's no-nonsense approach to the keeping of owls is refreshing, and her advice has broad applicability to the keeping of birds in captivity. Understanding Owls - Boring? Or a hoot?

I purchased this title after reading her second book: "Understanding Birds of Prey"; and I found this to have been both an interesting and informative read. This book, lives up to, if not exceeds that high standard that her preceeding books have set. When I hope to purchase an owl of my own, this book will act as my bible! Her unique, if not aggressive, writing style makes other Birds of Prey authors seem almost lax in their approach to informing the reader. Well worth the money spent and allows one to make an informed decision regarding captive birds.

Knowledge with arrogance

The author has great knowledge and shares it properly. But unnecessary arrogance, unfortunately, also abounds in this book. Despite that, it's the only modern book about owls existent.

An Awesome Read!

I really enjoyed reading this book about Ryan Jacobs & Penny Peterson both living on the Rocking J Ranch. When Penny first came to live on the ranch she was fourteen and her step-brother Ryan was nineteen her mother married Jeremiah, Ryan's dad almost seven years ago now. Penny's a math teacher and works at the high school in Wispering Pines which is an hour & a half drive away from the ranch, and in bad weather it's just to far to travel so she lives with another single teacher close to school. She barely comes back to the ranch because she's in love with her step-brother and has been for years, but Christmas is a holiday she loves and their are many traditions the ranch has during this holiday that Penny is apart of so she stays on the ranch for the entire holiday. Today Ryan is helping to put the tree up, and she's baking cookies with the housekeeper to be given away to the church for their holiday bake sale. Her and Ryan are like oil & water they are constantly fighting, but that's because he wants her and she wants him and they have been fighting their attraction for the last five years. Read this book it will make you laugh, cry and cum a bit. It's about a mother who just nit picks her daughter to death with little comments that are just mean. It's about a step-brother who wants his little step-sister and a step-sister who wants her step-brother and a father who has suffered a stroke and finally tells his son to take what he wants, or loose it forever. I think the author did a great job with the characters, you really get a feel for what they are going through, I just wish the book had a sequel to see how things turn out in the future on the Rocking J.

Cute story with a pinch of sexy

Initially, you may say hmmm step brother and sister ? But that part of the story isn't as creepy as it could be. The male lead is sexy, bossy and made me quiver a little when he would say "you like that baby". It's not very long story, it's a quick sexy read that doesn't have a thin lead female, who manages to be thin, tall, willowy but has all these womanly curves. She's a thick girl with REAL curves and flesh. Enjoyed the story for quick hot read.

Improving in time

The morality and arc of the first Omnibus of the 1990s and early Aughts Dark Horse Heroes series, Ghost, was hard to pin-point as the contrast between the cliches of feminist narrative and frankly anti-feminist comic tropes used made both the character and the plot a bit hard to follow or focus on. This Omnibus has more arcs in it and is not as tightly paced, but is far more coherent in its actual development of Elisa Cameron's character as well as continuously making us doubt that her "ghost-ness" were actually as simple as merely being dead. Sometimes, the body count and violence in the stories seems to suffer from the 1990s conceit that more dead bodies was more "realistic or raw" and the violence is more cartoonish than one would hope from a book trying to have some serious undertones would have, but that does not really hold the story back as much as it seemed to first issues of Ghost's run.

This is not to imply we don't learn more about Elisa Cameron now that her family is gone, and her past is exposed as key elements of her identity are exposed as is her relationship to the city of Arcadia. The story line with both Barbed Wire and X are interesting as well as other heroes that are incorporated into Ghost's plot line, and the last arc in the omnibus is very satisfying. The art also seemed more consistent, although still very of its time, than the first issues of the run.

While not ground breaking exactly, it is solid storytelling and it seemed to have, at least by the time of this omnibus, improved its writing in time. At times, it does seem a bit shatter shot, and it is truly hard to tell how much is pre-planned by the writers or what is being written on the fly, but it is still very interesting for a semi-obscure superhero comic from the late 90s that, in my opinion, did not necessary have the strongest start to its story arcs.

Very Unique Take on Paranormal Fantasy Comics

As of late I have enjoyed reading some lesser-known comic book series. You can find a lot of these on the many companies that are not part of the "Big 2" that are Marvel Comics and DC Comics. One of the series I've gotten into lately is Ghost from Dark Horse Comics. It's rather interesting, to say the least. The series has recently been restarted with a new continuity, and I intend to read it, as I greatly enjoyed these collected issues from the '90's and 2000's.

In the collected issues in Ghost Omnibus: Volume Two, the story follows the adventures of the title character, who is really a young woman named Elisa Cameron. As a news reporter in her native city of Arcadia, she was brutally murdered by a crime boss that ruled that metropolis's underworld scene. (As a quick note, don't ask where Arcadia is located. I don't know. All I know is that it is somewhere on the East Coast or Mid-West. I'm not sure where, and the story doesn't clearly say, at least not as far as I've gotten so far it hasn't.) But something went wrong, and she rose from the dead as the eponymous hero. Called by either name at times, "Elisa" or "Ghost", she is on a mission of vengeance to find her killers and stop crime in Arcadia.

At the current point in the tale, what "type" of ghost Elisa is is not clear. Is she the actual soul of Elisa Cameron, stuck on earth? Or is she an "after-image" of the deceased, a shadow or reflection that has attained some form of sentience, as in the Ghostbusters or Dresden Files universes? What IS clear is that she has some interesting abilities. She can "ghost" or be solid. Ghosting is when she is "immaterial" and can not be harmed by any substance other than jade, which somehow negates her powers. While solid, she can interact with the world around her more, but she can be also affected by what is around her, and can even be killed (yes, again).

This series puzzled me because I wasn't sure if the authors really had a firm plan for the character or a story arc planned out at all, or whether they were writing on the fly. Indeed, some of the adventures seemed to be nonsensical tales, while others were tightly plotted. The quality of the writing was all over the place.

Normally, for such omnibuses I would try to divide up the story, but in this one, they are split up between multiple tale story arc and single-issue tales, with the last one being a two-parter that will be concluded in the first tale in the third omnibus of this series. They are interconnected, in a weird way, though. All in all, it would be difficult to summarize each tale, as the characters or concepts are not well-known the way that, say, the characters of Superman or those in the Star Wars universe are. Therefore, I will instead go over a few thoughts on the omnibus as a whole.

First off, something more is clearly up here than just Elisa being an ordinary ghost. Her abilities are way too specifically strange for just some weird spectre, even one in a fantasy paranormal comic book land. Secondly, she is a strange creature. She is clothed as a beautiful woman in an outfit that both reveals much and covers up much. She is just such a weird study in contrasts.

And finally, I would say that the two defining characteristics of the character are Elisa's heroic nature and her brash impulsiveness. The number of bad guys who get the drop on her, despite her powers and near-invulnerability, is staggering. This is often only occurring because she takes up causes that are nigh impossible to succeed at, and because she walks into traps where her weaknesses are exploited. A little too confident in her abilities, she constantly gets into trouble. One such case is when she "swallows" a shape-changer to hold her captive for a time, and the shape-changer's (named Miasma) stronger will takes over Ghost's body. Despite all of this, she still wins in the end, and has a good heart, and that just makes the reader want to root for her all the more.

I greatly enjoyed this foray into not so well-known comics and really recommend this book, if you can keep track of what is what, which isn't always easy. It is well-worth it to try, however.

This is the Ghost

Ghost Omnibus Volume 2: Is a corroboration of many smaller size comics, as was the first Volume. In the times when this comic was being published, they had flashbacks from the earlier issues. When you put it all together in one issue, what you are reading becomes very redundant. However, when they started a new chapter, it kept you going again. Taken in this context the book was quite interesting and really gave you another glimpse into who Ghost really is. I personally like her. Guns blaring, rediscovering herself time an time again. Isn't that what we all do each day? Something changes from the previous days actions and we have to, either suffer the consequences of a bad choice or benefit from a good action. Each day we learn a little more!

The art work in this collection is top notch. The original writer of the series did a very good job. Taken from the view point mentioned above. There is a final chapter in the book that is like a dream sequence . The artwork was great and the imagery was beautiful. However I just didn't care for it too much. Just a little too Metaphysical for me and I am a cartoonist myself.

I have read all of Dark Horse's Omnibuses and I only have one to go, The Mask. All the others Ominbuses I liked very much. I Really liked those books. I wish they would start them up again. I could really get into reading them. However I feel they should write the new books as graphic novels. That way they would be much more interesting and tell an entire series in one kick. That is the way I publish my own stuff.

About the Author
John C. Beynon is Associate Professor in the English Department at California State University, Fresno. He is currently working on a study of the role tea plays in early modern British culture. Caroline Gonda is a Fellow and Director of Studies in English at St Catharine's College, UK. Her essays have appeared in 'Romanticism: The Journal of Romantic Culture and Criticism', 'Women's Writing', 'The British Journal of Eighteenth-Century Studies', and 'SEL: Studies in English Literature'. You don't need a lot of technical skills to get started

I currently own 35 web domains, plus I'm webmaster for another dozen of them. I do this professionally, so I often have non-technical friends who want help making their own websites.

I've been looking for a simple book I can refer them to - a book that will take them by the hand and lead them through the process from start to finish. This is the book I'll be recommending from now on.

With just this book, about $50 to pay for domain names and other services to get started, plus the motivation to follow-through, I think just about anyone can build their own website from scratch using what is taught here.

You don't need to have a lot of technical skills these days to build a website. If you know how to surf the web (and you do or you wouldn't be reading this), can use search engines, and know how to use email - well, then you have enough technical skills to do it. You just need to grab this book and get started.

Very disappointed

I bought this book on Kindle and expected to try out making the website myself. However, whole book is based on how to use one company's website hosting services (Green Geeks or something like that). I tried purchasing their website hosting plan, but it was rejected, because I don't reside in USA (they claim to provide services to everybody, given that they confirm the order with you - they never sent me any emails or called me, just plainly rejected the order). I sent message to their customer service asking why, but it wasn't even answered. Basically, this book is a waste of money. I think if author chose to cooperate with hosting provider, he could have chosen a more reliable and flexible company.

It describes how to set up Wordpress in a particular web host provider that the author promotes, else, it is useless. Even for Wordpress users is so basic that you can find more and better information in the Wordpress website.
