Insightful book

When I read this soon after it first came out, I was amazed at the insights and wisdom it purveyed. I was so impressed with it that I've quoted it and referred many people to this masterpiece. I've been re-reading it recently and find myself distracted by the grammatical and usage errors. I would have thought after all these years this would have gotten more polished and finished in subsequent printings and editions. This said, the insights offered by this book are still valuable though dimmed by the editorial distractions. I recommend it to either men or women who are willing to learn more about how female-male relations can improve.

Great Book-Editor should be strung up.

I read this back in the 1980's when it first was released. The content is stellar with great observations regarding the male condition in our culture. Still very relevant today. What is highly disconcerting and the reason for only three stars is the editing and translating into electronic format. Contextual errors abound and make one wonder why anyone would spend money on the thing. Believe me if it was not for the content I would have returned the book. But I am painstakingly reading through the errors because the author knows his stuff. grrrrrr!!!!
